When students ask 鈥淲hat is God鈥檚 will for me?鈥� 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 gives a definite answer:

“Rejoice always,听^听pray without ceasing,听give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

First Baptist Church of Tyler Pastor*, Pike Wisner, shared this passage of scripture with our MS and US students in chapel this week, explaining that by doing these three things, 鈥渋t鈥檚 difficult to be a jerk.鈥澨齀 appreciate Pike鈥檚 application of the text because it goes well with our Guard Charge. When we 鈥渓ive pure, speak true, right wrong, serve others, and follow the King,鈥� it鈥檚 also 鈥渄ifficult to be a jerk.鈥� We love having guests like Pike proclaim the good news to our students!
