We’re Starting a Drill Team
ATTENTION ALL UPCOMING 8TH 鈥 12TH GRADE GIRLS:
Something new is coming to 91猫先生 and you are going to be amazed.
The 91猫先生 Cadettes will be a Drill Team!
Beginning this Friday February 20th and next Friday February the 27th from 3:00 to 3:45 there will be a Cadettes 鈥淭ry and See Prep class鈥 for the upcoming new 鈥淒rill Team鈥.
Our uniforms will be the classic 鈥淒rill Team鈥 look along with short drill team boots. On these Fridays after school, beginning at 3:00 and ending at 3:45 we will be going over stretching, working on kicks (different styles) and splits.
No dance experience is required and every upcoming 8th 鈥 12th grade girl is encouraged to attend the 鈥淭ry and See Prep class鈥.
This will lead up to a clinic the week of March 2nd 鈥 6th after school 4:00-4:45 and 3:00 to 4:00 that Friday. During this week, they will learn a short routine as well as work with fundamentals of drill team.
They do not need to attend all of these days and there is no charge. We will have this in the cheer room.
On the 鈥淭ry and See Fridays鈥 in February, they do not have to attend all and if they need to leave earlier they may. It is encouraged to attend as many if not all of the days especially the week of the clinic March 2nd 鈥 6th as we will be learning a short routine.
The attire for these events are sports shorts, athletic wear or yoga pants. This is a relaxed and fun way to see what we are becoming. A preview of the new uniform will be available during the clinic week March 2-6th as well.
On Friday March 6th, a short routine will be performed involving an informal observation and tryout with the Director Stacy Bell and former 91猫先生 Cadette and Alumni Allison Bell.
There will also be a Choreographer present for the tryout that will be working with the girls during the week long clinic. There will be a short meeting at 4:00 after the clinic to answer any questions about being on the team for the 2015-2016 school year. Parents are invited to come watch at 4:00 and ask any questions.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
