US History Visits American Freedom Museum
The upper school U.S. History classes at 91猫先生 聽have been studying the Spanish-American War through World War I.聽 To better understand their period of study, they visited the American Freedom Museum on Tuesday morning.聽 Students learned more about Teddy Roosevelt鈥檚 bugler who took a Spanish bullet to聽his buttocks, the horrific conditions of trench warfare along the Western Front, the 鈥淓yes for the Navy鈥 program where civilians loaned their binoculars to the Navy for use during WWI, and the heroics of Sergeant Alvin York who gave all credit to God for his abilities and protection during the war. Better yet, our students learned these things from the museum’s founder, Stephen Dement (who is also their teacher and founder of 91猫先生).
