Technology in Science
21st Century skills are imperative to the success of students in future jobs! We as adults know- you have to be flex in the real world, sometimes work alongside people you don’t usually live life with, and still be effective in the workplace!
Today, Coach David Collins with the aid of integration specialist, Georgia Cameron implements a very active computer game as part of his review week prepping for the final exam. Students login to a premade quizlet reviewing concepts and terms from curriculum covered over the semester! It is set up as a race against other teams that change every few minutes! They have to collaborate to decide in an instant which answer is correct, enter it and try to beat their classsmates.
The enthusiasm is very high, ALL students engaged, and the race is on for a winner! Shhhh don’t tell them they’re reviewing for exams! They might lose their smiles!
Middle and Upper School science teachers have been utilizing our Surface Tablets to enhance the learning experience in their classroom. In addition to Coach Collins class, Mrs. Brunson’s Anatomy & Physiology students as well as Mrs. Wallace’s middle school science students have been reviewing through games and apps on their tablets.
