Senior Reality Fair

From the desks of Dr. Stan Ward and Mrs. Celia Tucker:

As part of our continuing efforts to prepare seniors for college and beyond, 91èÏÈÉú is partnering with Kelly Community Credit Union to sponsor a “Reality Fair” for our 91èÏÈÉú seniors. The event begins with a presentation from the credit union on Tuesday, March 4, that will ask seniors to think about their future careers. Then on Thursday, March 6, seniors will receive a personalized packet with information about that career, including an average salary. Students will then spend their income at the fair: purchasing necessities like insurance, housing, food, and clothing; paying off student loans; and obtaining niceties like pets and entertainment.

Students will find out more about how their career and lifestyle choices are effected by economic realities.

We still need some more parent volunteers to help make this happen. To find out how you can be a part of 91èÏÈÉú’s first senior reality fair, please contact Dr. Ward ([email protected]) or Mrs. Tucker ([email protected]).
