Lower School Strings
The Lower School kicked off the 2015-2016 String Academy season on Thursday, September 3rd聽with an informational meeting and instrument petting zoo.
LS strings teacher, Jamie Reason聽spoke to parents about the string instruction pull-out program at the Lower School, minimal equipment needs for first year beginners and the parents role in assisting their child in string聽instrument instruction and practice.
Following the information meeting, Mrs. Reason, assisted by聽Middle School Orchestra students, violinist, Jackson Fath and cellist, Hayden Gardner, gave Lower School students interested in learning a string instrument the opportunity to try out a violin, viola or cello.
There was great interest to learn a string instrument as 20 Lower School students have already registered聽for the Lower School String Academy!
