Literary Presentations in 9th Humanities
Freshmen gave their first presentations in Dr. Brunson鈥檚 Pre-AP Humanities class this week. Students have been studying Plato and Aristotle and learning about their philosophies as a class. Students then wrote essays on a selected subject, and presented their ideas to the class.
This cycle is part of the regular structure of Dr. Brunson鈥檚 classes. Students are not only challenged to think critically, but to create and communicate intellectually about their subjects, encouraging interaction, dialogue, and participatory learning with their peers. This process does more than help students improve their communication skills, it also gives others insight into subject areas they might not have the opportunity to learn otherwise.
