Guard struggle on the road at Tyler All Saints, 46-36
TYLER — 91èÏÈÉú knew it was going to face a difficult defense Friday on the road at district-leading Tyler All Saints.
The Guard were ready for it, but their shots did not fall in an eventual 46-36 loss. 91èÏÈÉú dropped to 9-13 overall and 1-2 in TAPPS District 3-5A. All Saints remained unbeaten in league play at 3-0.
Reid Hill led the Guard with 14 points with 91èÏÈÉú also knocking down six 3-pointers, but trailed after the first quarter and never caught up.
“We just couldn’t get it going offensively,” Guard coach Jacob Agnew said. “All Saints played tough defense and we just never got in a rhythm.”
The Guard look to get back in the win column on Friday when 91èÏÈÉú goes back on the road to face Tyler Grace Community, which is winless in district.
