Experimenting with the Design Process in 8th Grade Science
Eighth graders took on another design challenge this week. Students were given 3X5 index cards and asked to make bridges that could hold up to 300 pennies. Students were amazed at how just changing the shape, thickness, or size of the index card could add so much strength. After this experiment, students have a good understanding of the design process.
