Community Service Fair at 91èÏÈÉú

From the desk of Shawn Rhoads, Director of Residence Life:
This past week, Middle and Upper schools had the opportunity to learn about and interact with representatives from several non-profit organizations and ministries in the Greater Tyler Area. The event was spearheaded by 91èÏÈÉú’s new Community Service Coordinator, Mrs. Stephanie Williams, who is also the Lady Guard Basketball Coach.
Students listened to pertinent remarks on the importance of service and how it engenders character, humility and joy, before visiting booths for Boys and Girls Club, East Texas SPCA, Mercy Ships, King’s Store House, The Ministry Alliance, as well as booths with 91èÏÈÉú’s Mrs. Mize, David Dickerson and Stephanie Williams to learn about community service trips and opportunities through 91èÏÈÉú.
The event was the first of its kind in 91èÏÈÉú history, but will certainly not be the last, as it was a great success. Look for more information about community service from Stephanie Williams as the year progresses.
