The year began with the first school record falling at our first meet of the year. Claire Smith set the record in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:44 at the Alto Invitational. The next school record to fall was the triple jump. Julia Troxell jumped 32鈥 5.5鈥 at the East Texas Private School Championship.

Maddi Travis & Grace Brasher took 1st & 2nd in the High Jump, advancing to state. Also advancing to state were Kristen Clarke who earned 2nd in the 100m dash and Jordan McGowen who threw 46 ft in the shot put to earn 3rd place.

The Lady Guard sprinter won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.88 with Clarke taking second in the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.95. She was not the only鈥
