Earthquake Lab in 6th Grade

Students were given a challenge in sixth grade earth science this week.  Students modified a cereal box which represented a skyscraper so it can withstand a moderate earthquake.  Materials available were rubber bands, string, cotton balls, pennies, pencils, wooden rulers and straws.  Students were given about 15 minutes to construct their buildings before the quake. Christmas at the Brook

On Monday night, choir and orchestra students performed for our annual Christmas concert, “Christmas at the Brook.” Students sang sacred music, and played Christmas classics. At the end of the concert, we all sang a few Christmas carols together, celebrating the coming of our savior!
