8th Grade Learns Meaning of The Declaration of Independence

8th grade humanities learned the meaning of the Declaration of Independence when they visited the American Freedom Museum this week. Student even rewrote the document in their own words as an exercise to help them understand it more fully.

6th Science Studies Minerals

To better understand physical properties of matter, 6th graders have been identifying minerals.  They have used the properties of color, luster, hardness, taste, smell, feel and magnetism to discover which minerals were quartz, galena, halite, gypsum, pyrite, calcite, muscovite, talc and apatite.  Minerals are just a small part of the beauty of our planet!
