8th Grade Art Makes Masks

8th grade art students used plaster gauze strips to create聽a cast of their partner’s face. Students will paint these masks with sugar skull designs and some will be on display at the Tyler Museum of Art exhibit for Dia de los Muertos in November.

6th Grade Tests Scientific Method

Sixth graders have been practicing the steps of the scientific method with a splatter lab.聽 First, students had to identify each step and describe their procedure.聽 Then, students tested how the drop height affected the splatter size of drops of water.聽 Students used measurement, observation, predicting, and drawing conclusions while conducting the experiment.
