Eighth graders make models to learn different theories

Eighth grade is making models of each of the different atomic theories. Students used Play Doh, Petri dishes, beans and peas to illustrate each idea and students had to name the scientist whose theory each model represented. A good concrete way to learn the different theories.

A way to serve others

In聽concordance to our Guard Charge, we were able to “Serve Others” by having two donation centers on campus for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Floating Pennies in 8th Grade Science

Eighth graders are learning about the design method used in science. Students were challenged to build a barge out of a 20 X 20 cm piece of foil and 4 straws. The contest was to build the barge that would hold the most pennies before taking on water.
