Lower School Fifth Grade Spanish Lesson

April 03, 2014

Fifth聽grade Spanish students honored a family member by writing a paragraph totally in Spanish about them.聽 The paragraph included the person鈥檚 occupation, their relationship to the student, clothes they might wear to work, and things they liked about the family member.聽Fifth graders also brought 聽pictures from home of their person 聽to display with each paragraph.

3rd grade students did an exploration lab of the different forms of energy.聽 They encountered electrical, light, heat, mechanical, chemical, sound and solar forms of energy.聽 While exploring, each student was expected to identify the specific form of energy demonstrated.

Students in Mrs. Haugh’s Kindergarten class participated in St. Patrick’s Day learning activities. Graphing with Lucky Charms cereal was a fun way to apply mathematics skills. Mrs. Newsome and Mrs Haugh wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Library lesson included folktale stories from Ireland. Students followed leprechaun footprints to treasure.
