Second through fifth grade students are learning about the Dewey Decimal System by completing a scavenger hunt in the library this week! Students learn how to locate fiction and nonfiction books
Second graders read the book, The Courage of Sarah Noble. While reading this historical fiction novel, students used dictionary skills to find unfamiliar words to share with the class. This is the first of many dictionary activities that we will use this semester in second grade to聽expand our students’ vocabularies!
We had Christmas parties galore at the lower school this week! Students went on scavenger hunts, had pajama and pancake parties, learned about how different countries celebrate Christmas around the world, and celebrated the past, present, and future coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
