Fourth grade students completed a mini-research project about Dr. Seuss and typed a report about this amazing author who made such an impact on children’s literature.
Second grade LEGO club members built models with one and two axles and then compared which one was easier to steer. One of the members loves LEGOs so much that she was inspired to write a book and share it with the entire group.
Mrs. Brindley’s science lab this week was filled with Matter is Poppin’ experiments. Students selected three different sodas (Sprite, Dr. Pepper and Coke) to see which one produced the most gas. Fourth grade went to the Ross Perot Museum in Dallas. They had many hands on lessons with multiple science, technology, engineering and mathematics, sports hall where students can simulate different sports skills and virtual racing against animals and athletes.
Pre-K classes wore their favorite pajamas, drank purple punch and ate purple popcorn to celebrate the Letter P 鈥� their letter of the week.
Mrs. Bell’s class had props and a photo booth for Valentines day, but there were also many other classes who had parties to celebrate the holiday.
Lower School’s library story, an African folktale, originated in a small village in Nigeria. After listening to this tale, students were able to “visit” Nigeria using Google Earth. Following our trip to Africa, we returned to 91猫先生 using Google Earth and many students visited their homes and even located colleges they hope to attend.
