The second graders took聽a field trip and rang the Salvation Army bell on Wednesday. Students聽split up and took their 2-hour posts at Brookshire’s, Walgreen’s, Chick-Fil-A and Fresh. With their Santa hats securely on, they sang Christmas carols and danced around in order to receive donations in their designated red kettle.
This week at chapel, students in Lower School strings performed Christmas tunes, and Pre-K and Kindergarten classes presented their program that was previously postponed. Chapel capped off with the song “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” and Mrs. Larios reading a Christmas story.

At chapel this week, Lower School honored Veteran’s Day, and Mrs. Newson’s 3rd grade class shared the story of Abraham and Isaac. We learned about their great faith and how we, too, can obey God.

We had a blast at our Middle School retreat this week as we connected with classmates and deepened relationships with our teachers. We learned how we can be BRAVE, and were able to grow in our faith.
On Wednesday, in chapel the students sang along to some fun worship songs and learned a valuable lesson through the skit performed by the 4th grade class. “Donkey Tales,” a short story set in the old west, retold the story of Balaam from Numbers 22 and how God taught him how to listen and obey.
