Jake Anderson Earns Spot in National Merit Scholarship Program

91èÏÈÉú junior, Jake Anderson, recently qualified for the National merit Scholarship Program. Jake scored among the highest 50,000 participants of over 1.5 million students who took the 2013 PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test). 8th Grade Builds Mousetrap Cars

Kindergarten Students Study at The Pond

Kindergarten students recently visited The 91èÏÈÉú pond to coincide with their pond life unit of study in the classroom–such a great way to integrate real world experiences and study God’s creatures close up! Students enjoyed a picnic and then completed a nature bingo sheet requiring them to locate pond life including reptiles, and amphibians.

Spanish Chapel at the Lower School

1st Grade Donates Toys for Cancer Patients

In honor of BH Student, Jett Moore (who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer), 1st grade students teamed up to donate toys to the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders Prize Closet. Toys from this closet are given to children after they undergo invasive procedures at the Children’s Medical Center. How awesome!

6th Grade Studies Our Solar System

Sixth graders are studying about planets in our solar system. To understand how they compare in sizes students made models using play doh. Each group started with 3lbs and followed steps to get the right ratio of each planet size. Jupiter was quite large compared to the tiny spec for Mercury!
