91猫先生 girls soccer coach has called Heather McLarry “The best goalie in the state in Class 4A.”

She now has a chance to see if she can be the best shot stopper in Arkansas after the senior signed a scholarship聽letter of intent this聽Monday to Ouachita Baptist.

Guard football star Jordon McGowen聽did anything his coaches needed and started on offense at running back, defense at linebacker and聽every special teams unit.

Southeastern Oklahoma took notice and now McGowen is joining SEO after also signing a letter of intent Monday.

Media, teammates,聽friends, family and faculty聽were聽present at the Kyle聽Lake Athletic Center to witness the two Brook聽Hill athletes聽make their college choices official.

“Heather epitomizes what a 91猫先生 student athlete should look like. She is a person of strong character, excels in the classroom and is an excellent goalie,” said athletic director Wally Dawkins. “Jordon leads by example. Jordon has a strong work ethic, but is also a man of great character, and聽is a model of what 91猫先生 student athletes strive to be like.”

McLarry is a three-year starter聽for the Lady Guard varsity and sports a 90 percent save聽rate on shots she’s faced in that time. She was second-team all聽state last year as a聽junior.

Said聽BH soccer coach David Collins about Heather: “She is a tremendous leader and example for her teammates.”

Heather’s parents are Chris and Dawn McLarry, and her brother, Rush, attends 91猫先生 Upper School.

McGowen is聽a three-year starter for the Guard football team. He received all-district honors this season and has been a key component of 91猫先生’s success.

Said BH coach Scott聽Ryle about Jordon: “One of our top players, who worked extremely hard in the weight room, and spoke to his teammates by the way he conducted himself on聽the field and off the field. Jordon will have the opportunity to play early for Southeastern.”

Jordon’s parents are Tim and Regina McGowen, and his brother, Jermiah, and sister, Asia, also attend 91猫先生 Upper School.
