9th Choir Visits Museum
Patti Eden鈥檚 9th Grade Choir class participated in 鈥淭he Sound of History鈥� lab in the American Freedom Museum today. The students learned the history of 3 music pieces from the War Between the States (1861 鈥� 1865) time period. They were divided into 3 groups: a quartet, sextet and an ensemble, to learn, practice and perform their assigned piece. The quartet learned the Spiritual, Go Down, Moses, the sextet learned the Southern Anthem, Dixie, and the ensemble learned the Union National Anthem, Battle Hymn of the Republic. The groups preformed their pieces in the Lobby of the Museum and they were performances worthy of Carnegie Hall!
