8th Grade Participates in Mock Trial for Law Day
For the second year in a row 91猫先生 8th graders were invited to take part in Law Day activities held during the first week of May and sponsored by the Smith County Bar Foundations.聽 Ruth Yeager, Assistant United States Attorney, 聽coordinates the event which takes place at the U.S. District Courthouse in Tyler.聽 91猫先生 students were joined by students from Gorman as they participated in a courthouse tour which included involvement in a mock trial.聽 In thinking about the day鈥檚 event, 8th grader Rachel Berkley commented, 鈥淭he trip was an insightful experience for when we students, in just a few years, 聽will be real jurors deciding another person鈥檚 fate.鈥�
