8th Grade Learns about Adaptations

8th graders are learning about adaptations in science class.  To simulate adaptations in nature, students were challenged to pick up different colored beans in different colored habitats.  White beans were camouflaged by white paper compared to the black and brown beans which were much easier seen by the predator. Students used different kinds of tools to simulate beaks of birds used to pick up seeds (beans) to eat. We learned that God gave his creation the ability to adapt and change in order to survive.
