6th Spanish
Sixth grade Spanish students selected a project based on the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. Many students chose to make a popular dish from the country while others made a craft. As a result of their research, we sampled many food items including mole and menudo from Mexico, churros from Spain, baked plaintains from El Salvador, and champurradas from Guatemala. We learned about worry dolls from Guatemala and papel picado from Mexico. We also collected 鈥渄ulces鈥� or candy from student-made pinatas.
