6th Grade Studies Ecosystems at Outdoor Classroom

Sixth graders have been studying ecosystems so we took advantage of our beautiful campus and explored a few in our own backyard!  Students were expected to name as many of the biotic and abiotic factors as they could find and identify.  Students also looked for interactions between the living and nonliving parts of the ecosystem, making notes on their observations.  What a great way to apply vocabulary and concepts we studied in class, and enjoy the beautiful weather and land we have on our campus!
