2nd & 3rd Grade Spanish
After 3rd grade Spanish students studied the days of the week, they illustrated a book using not only the days, but also numbers and colors in Spanish. Each student then had the opportunity to read their book to PreK students. The 3rd grade students encouraged the PreK students to count the items on the pages and talked about the color of each in Spanish. The older students enjoyed getting to read to the younger ones and loved聽their experience!
Second grade Spanish students enjoyed playing a game called 鈥淏uild a Body鈥 that uses numbers in Spanish and the names of body parts like cabeza 鈥 head, ojos 鈥 eyes, orejas 鈥 ears, brazos 鈥 arms, etc. Students were divided into two teams and one person from each team rolled the number cubes. The number rolled indicates which body part they get to add to their picture. 聽Whichever team draws a complete body on the board is the winner.
